I was skeptical about ordering the post, however, my cat liked it from the first moment. Have it by a window where she will both sit and nap on it. The padded perch is a must, she had difficulty getting on the top without it. Most importantly, she does scratch at it and the height is perfect for her to have a full length stretch and scratch!
