I'll be the first to say that I had reservations about using this on my dog, but I have a 3 year old red-bone hound and getting him to stop barking was getting to become an all consuming activity. We have a large fenced in yard in DC, but we're right next to a bus stop, and he would just not stop barking whenever anyone was waiting for the bus. It got to the point where I was afraid that I would have neighbors complain, and the much worse scenario I envisioned involved someone lobbing a poisoned sausage over the fence. Dramatic, I know, but you never know sometimes. So I finally did a lot of research and bought this collar, and wow, it made a world of difference. 3 weeks into him wearing it (outdoors only), and he will maybe bark once when I let him out, and that is it. And although we don't put it on him in the house, he has gotten much better about barking indoors as well.
We started off with the setting that resets back to the lowest shock every time he started an episode of barking so he could learn, and we now have it on the setting where it remembers the level where he stopped barking last time and goes straight to that level. This really does the trick if you have a dog that really just needs to stop barking, not only for your sanity, but also for his/her safety.Get more detail about SportDOG Rechargeable NoBark 10R Bark Control Collar.
