My first impression after opening the packaging was: Wow, what a cheap looking device. It looks cheap, it feels cheap. And if you drop it, it will probably break. But with that said, it does work as an attention getter. If your dog is barking at something, it will quickly forget why its barking and look at you. Its strange that this is labeled a "dog repeller", when it does the opposite, it will attract dogs to you, driven by the curiousity of the noise. I am giving it 3 stars due to the shoddy workmanship. The battery cover does not properly fit back on, and the overall cheap feel.
