Karen Pryor, Getting Started: Clicker Training Kit for Dogs PLUS Buy Now

This is a good kit for starting. I found that the treats were good but it is a very small package. I wish there were two clickers because I found that I needed one in the house and one for a coat pocket. Between my horses, chickens and dogs I now have half a dozen so they are handy. The video is a little amateur, but one of the valuable lessons that I learned from it was at first it feels like chaos, but as soon as the animal "catches on" it all becomes so much easier. It comes so easy that it almost feels like luck, but not so. Clicker training is based on firm scientific principles and is a humane, proven (and I feel, vastly superior) dog training method. Read the book, watch the video, play with the tricks and make your dog your partner! Do it now! Click!! good dog.Get more detail about Karen Pryor, Getting Started: Clicker Training Kit for Dogs PLUS.

Karen Pryor, Getting Started: Clicker Training for Cats Kit Right now

The book looks ok, although I haven't really gotten a chance to use the techniques. However, the clicker that came with my kit doesn't make any sound whatsoever. Apparently other people didn't get broken ones, but I did. It's not worth shipping back, so I'm just going to buy a new clicker that actually works.

Meanwhile, my cats hate the shriveled up little treats that came in the kit. They sniff them, lick them, and then ultimately leave them partially re-hydrated on my floor. So I'm going to have to figure out something else to use for treats. Really wish I'd just gotten the book and skipped the kit.Get more detail about Karen Pryor, Getting Started: Clicker Training for Cats Kit.

Low Price Karen Pryor, Getting Started: Clicker Training Kit for Puppys

Before we got our puppy Olive I think I read every puppy / dog training book on the market. The Clicker Puppy DVD is a little amateurish, but despite that, it was probably one of the best things I bought before we got our puppy. A few five-minute training sessions a day and I had Olive sit, down, etc on command in just few days of bringing her home. Also, the DVD shows how to help you teach basic manners in an easy manner as well. Using the clicker is weird at first, but once Olive got it she would quickly start trying things to get the click and the reward. I just used her kibble as a reward when she was a puppy. Using what was shown in the DVD I was able to use the clicker to train all sorts of things based on the confidence of how well the techniques worked. Now the DVD is the star of this kit, but the rest is good enough. I bought this for myself and later when I found out my Dad was getting a puppy I still ordered the kit instead of just the DVD. I plan on buying this kit for anyone I know who is planning on getting a puppy.Get more detail about Karen Pryor, Getting Started: Clicker Training Kit for Puppys.
