We got this muzzle for our Rottie, who unfortunately eats poop. So, we couldn't use a muzzle with the opening around the mouth, because he still managed to eat it. This muzzle was the perfect solution. The buckle is strong enough that he hasn't been able to paw it open (which he did do with another brand), and it effectively stops him from eating poo. But, it is made for very large dogs and it does not hold up that well. We are on our 3rd in 2 years. Whenever our dog brushes up against something or paws it, the outer colored part rips. The muzzle is still effective but just looks like a mess. Then eventually he manages to tear the mesh away from the seam and we have to buy a new one.
