Petsafe PDLDT-305 Deluxe Little-Dog Remote Trainer for Pets Under 40 Pounds This instant

We have a small Chihuahua mix, looks like with a Pug, that was dumped off, and adopted us about 3 months ago. He is a lovable little guy but loves to chase cars, squirrels and people who walk by. He is a strong willed little dog, and we were having a hard time getting him to listen and come back when he took off. He is a young dog, probably not even a year old yet and wanted to play more than work with us. I was checking out ways to train him and found this collar here on Amazon and liked the reviews, so I sent for it. We received it about 3 weeks ago and all I can say is he is a new dog!

My wife has been working with him and she has only used the sound button most of the time, though she did shock him once or twice on a low setting at first. He is a fast learner and she has worked on boundaries with him. He pretty much now knows where he can go and where he shouldn't. We still use a leash with him most of the time along with the collar as the instructions say, but in the evening my wife only uses the collar, and only has to use the sound button to get him to stop and come back to her. Sunday he got out without the collar and I watched him chase after a bird, but when the bird flew out of his "boundary" he stopped, turned around and came back in the yard. He ran around, played and when I called him he came. I will admit he started to go the other way, but then turned around and came right to me instead of running off to play some more.

Now I read complaints about the batteries, but so far we have had no problem with the one that came with the collar. I did buy two extras, just in case, but we make sure to turn off the collar when we take the collar off after working with him. Sometimes the remote button needs to be pushed in a little further to make it work, but all in all it's a great training device and has made a world of difference!Get more detail about Petsafe PDLDT-305 Deluxe Little-Dog Remote Trainer for Pets Under 40 Pounds.
