Used this to find a break in my 3.5 acre lot. Seemed to work OK. They kept it simple and low cost, but it did work. I had a single break. The two tones that are generated by the break detector transmitter aren't that much apart (tone wise) or different. But you can tell them apart. Too bad you have to bend over to hold near the ground. A 4 foot pair of ear phones and a stick to put the AM radio might be nice to walk the wire.
