These actually helped out considerably with the pup head doggy grass. The absorbed all the urine so that when I had to carry it from my deck to the bathroom, no urine splashed around since the pad soaked it all up. You can then just give it a quick rinse off with a hose or shower head and throw it in wash (by itself of course). I liked these because it helped keep that smell of dog piddle away due to the fact that my patio is in the sun in the afternoon so with other dog bathroom ideas, I could still always smell the urine. I haven't had a problem with this pad.
