My cat has shown no interest in this. It's just one of those cat mysteries. She likes sleeping in plain old Amazon shipping boxes; she used to claw up shipping boxes; she loves other cardboard scratchers that have the cardboard's raw edges exposed (especially the Bergan Turbo Scratcher and the SmartyKat SuperScratcher+). I don't know why this doesn't appeal to her.
It seems pretty sturdy. I suspect that the catnip oil that's supposed to be on it isn't very effective.
